Family Care Center is a nonprofit 501c3 organization with the purpose of feeding and clothing those in need in Cherokee County, Alabama. Family Care Center started in 2008 feeding just 35 families per week, it has now grown into a large operation assisting over 500 families a month. In 2010 we started a thrift store located inside our food bank facility. This not only helps our clients purchase items they want or need at a cheaper price, it’s benefited our community as well. Proceeds from the thrift store keep our food bank operational. In the past two years, we’ve been blessed enough to purchase two vehicles and build and reconstruct homes in the community.
